The History Behind WindsorONE
WindsorONE is a family owned and operated company based in California, with manufacturing in the town of Willits in Northern California. Weyerhaeuser and WindsorONE strive to build relationships at all levels of the supply channel, enabling both companies to stay ahead and prepare for market changes and customer needs.
This week we got some inside information from Jacqueline Palazzolo from Weyerhaeuser and Chris Freeman, Manufacturing Representative from WindsorONE.
Q: What are some of WindsorONE’s speciality products?
A: WindsorONE’s specialty products are the T&G and Shiplap patterns, growing in popularity and demand across the country for interior and exterior applications.
Q: What do you find to be your top seller and why do you think that is?
A: Here in Southern California, WindsorONE’s top selling products are the Protected T&G boards and S1S2E Fascia boards for exterior use. The reason these are in such high demand, are consumers are getting smarter about their exterior products. They want products that will prevent rot, termites and mold. They also want products that save them time and energy during installation.
Q: Why should our customers buy WindsorONE over the other products out there?
A: Using only acrylic latex primers. WindsorONE is vacuum-applying 3 coats of primer at the end of manufacturing. Many people have asked, “Why so much primer?”. The answer is simple: we want end users to experience a paint-ready board when it arrives to the project.
Also, WindsorONE+ Protection allows our boards to be used on the exterior of homes (when installed properly), and Windsor will warrant that board against rot, insects and mold for 30+ years. The other cool benefit to this preservative process is it can be used on the interior of the home, with no harmful off-gassing or toxins. This one boards is safe for interior use, yet durable for exterior use.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to share about WindsorONE?
A: While many manufacturers have decided to outsource their production to other countries and import their products, WindsorONE continues to manufacture here in the US with mills in CA and VA. Maintaining an American workforce with US mills is critically important in managing quality and production; ensuring ever piece of WindsorONE is straight, tight and true when it arrives to the lumberyard or job site.
