This week we got to interview Azri Capelouto, Co-Founder at Euro Architectural and he was excited to tell us how Eclisse has re-invented the pocket door. Q: Please tell us about the company and its foundation.
A: Everything started in the late 1980’s when a metal joinery shop established in the 1960’s gradually began to specialize in the production of metal sliding systems for doors and windows. The decision to diversify from the original De Faveri S.r.l. production gave rise to the idea of systems for pocket sliding doors, a new product to be developed in the series. In the 1990’s, Eclisse grew through hard work and a steadfast commitment to research and innovation. Expansion of the models and the range of processes plus the ability to innovate products and process gradually brought encouraging market development, both in Italy and abroad.
Today, Eclisse is a renowned brand, benchmark for the industry, leader in the field with 10 subsidiaries worldwide, more than 30 representative offices and 2000 distributors in Italy and are able to produce 1300 frames a day.

Q: What do you find to be the top seller product and why do you think that is?
A: Our standard pocket door with soft and self closing options. Most pocket door systems offer only soft closing technology. Eclisse features available soft closing and soft opening systems giving you elegant movement in both directions. On top of that, it is also self closing so just walk through and the door will quietly close behind you.
Once you slide the door towards its closed position at a certain point the door(s) takes over and softly closes. This useful and safe (no trapped fingers) device allows a smooth closing movement to the door. After its opened, the door closes itself automatically.
Q: Why should our customers buy your products over the competitor?
A: There is no competitor to Eclisse, we have the complete option list. With Eclisse you have a single or double door option with many different accessory options for both. Some of the accessories include:
BIAS Built-In Anti-Slam
It’s the soft closer for sliding pocket doors, fully integrated inside the rail and invisible from the outside. Eclisse BIAS is equipped with an oil piston that slows and softly accompanies the door in the closing phase.
Joining Kit
This allows you to make a double door system using two single doors.
Double Door Coordination
This device allows the simultaneous opening and closing of the doors, moving only one of them. It can be used on an already installed pocket door.
Anti-warp profile
Eclisse offers door manufacturers an extruded aluminum guide section, specifically designed and developed to be fitted into the bottom of sliding pocket doors. This profile is easy to fit even on an already installed pocket door without requiring any special operations apart from routing. The advantages of the Anti-warp profile are an improved sliding action and an increased wear resistance and protection against deformation due to humidity.
Soft closing
This can be applied to an already installed pocket door. Just slide the door towards its closed position and at a certain point the door(s) takes over and softly closes. This useful and safe (no trapped fingers) device allows a smooth closing movement of the door.
Self-closing system
Once opened, the door closes itself automatically. This mechanical device can be applied on an already installed pocket door and it allows you to adjust the closing door speed.

Just slide the door towards it’s closed position and at a certain point the door takes over and softly closes itself.
Q: What other information would you like us to share about your company?
A: Eclisse is the only self closing pocket door system on the market. It comes with a 12 year residential warranty which you won’t find with any other pocket door system out there. You aren’t limited to a certain door design either. Use any door design you would like! 1 3/8”, 1 3/4” wood, 1” aluminum, or 3/8” frameless glass.
